Any attempt to flash it without one of these expensive dongles will brick the ecu.Ĥ. 2015+ Lancers have a different ecu that requires a USB dongle with special software to correct checksums. Bigger injector are not needed on even the most radical 4B12 tune.ģ. If yours is a CVT, redline will only ever be 6300rpm guaranteeing that a 4B11T intake manifold will lose power at all rpms! Do want want to go slower?Ģ. It destroys all torque in mid to high rpm range and just start to produce power near the 6800rpm absolute max redline of a 4B12 engine. I'm not looking to pull 350 horses down a quarter mile track in 11 seconds. With the SE, I spent about 40% less than I would if I bought an Evo off the lot (~$40k for an Evo vs ~$25k for my fully-loaded SE), as well as saving a huge amount on my insurance each month. So far, this is the only shop that hasn't laughed me off the phone and said "Just get an Evo, dude", so I'm really hoping we can find a solution. EGR delete (Necessary as the new manifold will not have an EGR port).Intake manifold swap with a ported/polished IM.I want to move forward with a few mods that I'm going to need a tune for, including but not limited to: Working with a local tuning shop and trying to find either an ECU tune for the non-Evo Lancer, or an Evo tune that can be adapted to the 2.4L engine.
